Our Heritage
Lazy Pothooks Ranch is a family-run operation with roots steeped in ranching tradition and a forward-looking commitment to sustainability. Our story begins decades ago with Zack’s grandfather, a passionate rancher who created the Lazy Pothooks brand. The land we now steward was purchased by Charlie in the late 1950s, and in 2020, we had the honor of leasing this historic ranch to continue its legacy.
Our Process
At Lazy Pothooks Ranch, we believe in raising animals the way nature intended. Our cattle roam freely, grazing on fresh, green pastures as we rotate them from field to field. This not only provides them with optimal nutrition but also regenerates the land, ensuring its vitality for generations to come. Our poultry enjoy a similar life, moving daily to feast on fresh grass and bugs, producing healthier, tastier chicken.

- Beef: Available by the half or whole, raised with care on a GMO-free, hormone-free diet of lush pasture grass.
- Chicken: Limited quantities of whole, pasture-raised chicken.
